- This source was a book that discussed the media during the 1900's. From this source I found information about the music/newspapers/advertisements and other types of media that was used during the Great Depression. This information helped me build an understanding for my topic because it told me how people dealt with the negative effects of the Depression and how they used media as something to take them away from
their troubles.

- This source was a book that talked about everything involved with the Great Depression, the causes, effects, economy, etc. From this source I got information about the causes of the Depression, specifically the Gold Standard. This information helped me build an understanding for my topic because it stressed how the Gold Standard spread around the entire world to create this Depression and it also showed/shows how much the world relies on money.

This information helped me build an understanding for my topic because there was an endless amount of information that contained a lot of perspective and background information that was helpful.

- This source was a book that reflected upon the peoples fear and feelings during their time without jobs/money and homes. From this source I got information about peoples reactions to their troubles and how they felt worthless once everything was taken away from them. This information helped me build an understanding for my topic because it showed how much the people were suffering and that there wasn't so much they could do to fix it themselves.

- This source was a book titled The Hungry Years and it discussed how the Depression affected the peoples lives. From this source I got information about how families were affected due to loss of jobs, money, homes, and how they dealt with it. This information helped me build an understanding for my topic because it went into detail about how bad the conditions were for the people and how every person was affected in some way.

From this source I received information about Hoovervilles, and how people did anything they could to find a job. This information helped me build an understanding for my topic because it showed that despite the terrible times these people were going through, they were motivated to get a job and succeed in any possible way.

From this source I got information about how farmers were affected during the Depression and what the actual farming was like and the financial issues that were present. This information helped me build an understanding for my topic because it talked about how the issues with the farms and the farmers were very serious and that the farmers income and life somewhat depended on the financial status of the people around them which at the time was not good.
